Bloco Quimbombó is an energetic and irreverent drum, brass & dance
troupe that plays Carnaval music of the Americas. They focus on
Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian Beats and are always adding in other
sounds like Dominican Comparsa and New Orleans 2nd line.
Members include musicians from: US, Brasil, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Israel,
Chile, Morroco, and Panama.

Nick
has worked with : Trey Anastasio, Unidos de Lucas Samba School (Rio
Carnaval), Nanni Assis, Dende, Roberto Poveda, Gary Morgan & Panamericana,
Las Gardenias, Alec Stephen, Pupi Insua's Grupo Oriki, Jorge Alabê,
Jay Collins, Mecca Bodega, and many other artists.
He recently recorded with Son
de Brooklyn and and was musical director and soundtrack producer
for the film Corazon de Melon.
Nick has performed in dozens of venues including: Lincoln Center,
Radio City Music Hall, The Waldorf-Astoria, The Rainbow Room, The
Copacabana, The Ritz-Carlton, Top of the Rock, Cipriani and the Rio
de Janeiro Sambadrome.
He has accompanied dance classes at The Alvin Ailey School, The Joffrey
School, Djoniba and DanceSpace.
